About Us

Hi, my name is Kaitie Rogers and I'm the founder of Root & Wick Candle Co. I began making candles in 2024, and like many other candle makers, it was at first a hobby and simply a channel for my imagination. Something I enjoyed doing for fun quickly became something I wanted to build upon. My vision was to start a handmade candle company that could be simple, luxurious, eco-focused - not only in ingredient cleanliness, but design inspiration - and most importantly, a company that is rooted in the love of Christ. It was the creativity of the craft that drew me to candle making in the first place. There's creative freedom in the immeasurable variation of scent blends that can be curated to evoke a feeling, the endless number of elements in creation to put us in different moods, and how personalized scent can be. I've always been intrigued by the way that one person's experience of one fragrance can be worlds away from what another might gather from it. Our senses are powerful, and such a beautiful part of what makes us human is that we've been given the gift of sharing how we feel, think, see, and experience the world with one another. So my prayer here at Root & Wick is that you'll light these candles and slow down. That you might let your mind wander and dream, be reverent and at peace, and that this community could be one of sharing our experience with each other.
